Role Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer will support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of HVAC and precision cooling systems that are critical to data center performance and reliability. This role focuses on maintaining optimal environmental conditions for IT infrastructure while ensuring system efficiency, safety, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of data center HVAC and precision cooling systems.
- Monitor and maintain temperature, humidity, and airflow to ensure optimal conditions for servers and IT equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot issues in cooling and refrigeration systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for AMC, servicing, and repairs.
- Maintain logs, reports, and performance records of mechanical systems.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with Electrical and Civil teams for smooth data center operations.
Key Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers and up to 2 years of experience).
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and cooling technologies.
- Familiarity with CRAC units, chillers, or related systems (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
- Willingness to work in a mission-critical data center environment.
